The basis for GeOmen's work ...
... derives from decades of camera work and countless hours spent in digital graphic creations. The understanding of light was mastered in Europe at the Munich National Theatre,
and a prominent German TV Studio.
GeOmen recalls his first success in documentary (celluloid) movies at the age of eighteen. Today, he has captured over 50,000 scenes and faces with much care and devotion. With over 40 years of camera work the artist comes before the photographer and that is where GeOmen's work begins.
"The photo is my pencil that provides the sketch which then is painted with my brush - the computer". The artist's pictures are unique with new techniques of "sketching and painting". However, at times still allowing a touch of acrylics. All this is an attempt to combine the physical world in an even more exciting way creating a new meaning in the virtual world.
Today he is not only creating new pictures, but artwork not based on photography and beyond the 2D limitations at his choosen home country Australia.
